What Facebook’s new ads are selling and how they’re selling it
Facebook is expanding its ad sales arm, advertising revenue, by buying a company called AdMob.
The move makes AdMob a fully-owned subsidiary of Facebook.
The acquisition was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Facebook is the third major player in the digital advertising space to acquire an online advertising company in the past few years, after Google bought Inbox in 2012 and Google bought Buffer in 2015.
Facebook bought a number of online marketing companies last year including Promethea, DoubleClick, Shopify, and Engadget.
