By Steve Litchfield The Associated Press Sports WriterThursday, Jan. 22, 2021 9:11:17As the season begins and the league’s new TV deals are announced, it seems like Peyton Manning’s time in Denver is finally coming to an end.
Manning, who signed a five-year, $126.7 million extension on Friday, had been scheduled to make his first start of the season against the Denver Broncos on Sunday at the Pepsi Center.
But now that he’s out, Manning is expected to be the No. 1 quarterback on the Broncos’ offense.
He’ll be replacing Peyton Manning as the quarterback of the Denver Denver Broncos.
It’s a huge change.
It is a big step for me personally.
It feels good, it’s a great opportunity to be a part of something great.
Manage your emotions on the field.
You don’t need to worry about it.
You’re not a human being.
You know how you feel.
You understand what you’re going through.
You can handle it.
That’s how I feel.
I’m going to be prepared.
I’ll be ready.
Man, you are a good kid, I’m proud of you.
I can’t wait to get back in the locker room and get out there and get it done.
The Broncos are playing the Denver Patriots in Super Bowl XLVII, the first-ever meeting between the teams.
They play the Los Angeles Chargers in the first of their two meetings in February.
