Reddit is hiring for an advertising sales team

Polygon is reporting that Reddit is currently hiring a new staff member for its advertising sales and marketing team.

According to the posting, the position is for a software engineer to work on an internal advertising platform.

The posting doesn’t say how long the position will be in place, or who the position might be for.

Reddit has struggled to attract advertisers to its platform in recent years.

Last year, it hired a team of two to help it improve its search engine and its mobile advertising platform, and it recently launched a redesigned mobile app that aims to better match advertisers with users.

Reddit previously said it had over 400,000 users, with more than two-thirds of those being in the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Russia, Brazil, and China.
